We are in need of materials to complete the work on pit 3. We still need to provide for berm stabilization, signs, and fencing. Our wish list includes lumber for building benches, stands, a covered firing line, fence and sign posts, 6"x6" posts, seed and straw to cover the berms and either shingles or metal roofing. Donations can be left at the new pit parking area (old PPC range) under the awning. Contact Keith P. at 502.598.9843 for more information.

ACSC is selling its old propane kitchen range. It is old, but in working condition. The range is currently located on the clubhouse screened porch for inspection. Sale will be by bid only. If interested, send your bid to the Club at P.O. Box 315, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342, or hand deliver to a board member. All bids are due by the beginning of the September Directors Meeting on Sept. 23, 2010.

The Central Kentucky Friends of the NRA will be hosting a banquet and fundraiser on October 14th, 2010 at Eagle Lake Convention Center in Lawrenceburg, Ky. The Doors open at 5:30pm. Tickets are $30 per person and will NOT be available at the door so buy them now.

Contracts for 2010 mowing were decided during the March Directors meeting. A big "thank you" goes to Paul for accepting the responsibility of mowing the clubhouse area again this year and to Keith for taking on the responsibility of doing all the bush-hogging.

The shooting events of the Bluegrass State Games will be held at ACSC again this year. Smallbore (rimfire) Rifle match on the Rifle range and the Black Powder Rifle match on the PPC range is scheduled for Saturday, July 18th. The Airgun competition on the PPC range and the High Power Rifle Match at the Rifle Range will be on Sunday, July 19th. You can see the schedule and register on-line at http://www.bgsg.org/

Our club will be hosting a series of NRA High Power Rifle Matches in 2009. The dates of the matches are 18 April, 16 May, 13 June, 11 July, 15 August, 12 September and 24 October. Registration begins at 8:30 am with entries accepted until 9:15 am. Firing starts at 9:30 am. These matches will be open to the public. Entry fee is $7.50 for ACSC members and $12.50 for guests. Current NRA High Power rules apply (iron sights only). Check the calendar page to verify dates.
